Summer Reading!

I have two much needed vacations coming up and this is when I try and power through a few good books. I am an avid magazine reader but this is my time to discover authors I haven't read yet or revisit my favorites! Last year was "Bringing Home the Birkin: My Life in Hot Pursuit of the World's Most Coveted Handbag" by Michael Tonello. If you haven't read this and you know what a Birkin is, I highly recommend it.  You can get it on Amazon and trust me, you"ll love it! Now, to this summer reads!


Jen Lancaster, what a hoot! I happened upon her while perusing Amazon one tipsy night and you know what sealed the deal? "Bitter is the New Black : Confessions of a Condescending, Egomaniacal, Self-Centered Smartass,Or, Why You Should Never Carry A Prada Bag to the Unemployment Office", can you see a theme here? After I read that one, I promtly bought her other books and have been hooked ever since! She's like that one friend that has a very small self edit button, only snarkier but in a good way. I literally laugh out loud when reading her stuff , whether it be her blog, twitter or her books.  She has five titles with her latest being "My Fair Lazy" and I'm saving that one for the first trip. Love It!

Today was a VERY good day!

It has a become a ritual on Fridays for me to hit all the second hand stores around my area. I don't know what it is, but this day rocks for me! Today was no different. I scored huge but I won't tell you what I spent, I hate to see grown women cry!

Stud Muffin To The Rescue!

I have always been partial to wearing what I want, when I want, regardless of seasons or styles. I tend to gravitate towards one a of a kind vintage pieces that you can't get in a department store and won't see every other girl wearing. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon Stud Muffin.
